Called + Chosen

I am called.

I am chosen.

He chose me.

He called me.

Will I answer?
Every one of us is called.

– You may be called to be :

{ a missionary in a foreign country

{ a pastor of a church

{ an author of a popular book series

{ a stay at home mom

{ a doctor

{ a lawyer

{ a teacher

{ a worker at a grocery store

{ or any other type of career.

Sometimes people get so caught up on, “you aren’t good enough for God’s kingdom unless you’re a missionary or a pastor or something on that level. ”

Well what about that patient who is laying on his death bed who hasn’t repented in 25 years? Who will minister to him?

Or what about that little kid who lost his mother at a young age and his father has never shown him what love is like. Who will show him love?

Or that teenager at the grocery store who was ready to end it all, until she passed you in your aisle as you were stocking shelves, & you smiled & talked to her like she was actually a person & she was important?

God never said “you aren’t called to be a pastor or a missionary because you’re not good enough.”

Rather, because he sees the whole picture. He gave you the calling of a doctor because he saw that man on his death bed who needed repentance. He gave you that calling of a teacher because he saw that boy in the classroom who needed love. He gave you the calling of being a store clerk because he knew a depressed & hurt 16 year old, needed love.

You are not ranked on a level from “best to worst” when it comes to the kingdom of God. Just because God didn’t tell you to be a missionary or become a pastor doesn’t mean you aren’t valuable to his kingdom.

YOU ARE CHOSEN.
YOU ARE CALLED.
YOU ARE NEEDED.
YOU ARE WANTED.

Don’t doubt your calling or purpose because you don’t think God can use you. He can use even the worst of situations for His good. & God can most definitely use YOU.

But…

When he calls you…..

Will you answer him?

John 15:16
” Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. ”
