Have Courage & Be Kind

image  As a child, I can remember watching Cinderella. I can remember the magical dress, the pumpkin & the mice. & I can remember the happily ever after. But it wasn’t until I watched the new Cinderella movie that came out in 2015 that I really fell in love with Cinderella’s story. & not just her story…. but her character.

I want to be Cinderella.

Brave.

Kind.

Selfless.

Hardworking.

Generous.

Forgiving.

Looking at Cinderella, she truly was a princess. Not because she married a prince, but because she took every ounce of grace & kindness a person could possess & used it in everything she did. She forgave those hardest to forgive. She was kind to those hardest to be kind to. & she was brave in the darkest & hardest times.

Cinderella truly portrays an image of what a princess should be like. She wasn’t perfect, she failed & messed up. She was afraid sometimes. Sometimes she struggled to be kind… But she didn’t let her failures or what her enemies told her she was stop her from being the person she was meant to be. She held onto love & kindness & bravery & let that lead her. She wasn’t stopped or held back by what others told her she was. She kept believing that if she only had courage & was kind, it would all work out.

So I want to be Cinderella. Brave when you’re all alone in the world with only memories to hold onto. Kind… even when every ounce of kindness is gone around you. Giving, even when no one has ever given you anything. & forgiving even when it seems there’s no reason to forgive. Because that, is what a true princess is.

{{ Have Courage }}

Joshua 1:9
” have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. ”

& {{ Be Kind }}

Ephesians 4:32

” and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. ”
